Neymar enjoyed several chances in front of goal in the first half, while Idissa Gueye’s long-term effort shortly before the break forced a good save from Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.

A warm climate that caused difficult conditions in Paris and, although both sides created opportunities to score in the second half, the goals were not achieved.

Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Rafael Di Maria from Lyon a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 70 minutes into the game.
